The Heater Shield from Epic Armoury is a no-nonsense classic, simple, bold, and ready for action. Inspired by historical heater shields of the High Middle Ages, it brings together clean design and LARP-friendly construction in a format that suits just about any character, from noble knights to borderland mercenaries.

This design's sturdy model is shared with our trusted Baron's Shield, which is made using the same foamed and carved core and layered construction. However, while the Baron's Shield features a heraldic chevron, the Heater Shield features an unadorned yet powerful design. Choose between two bold colour schemes: a division of red and dark green, yellow and black, or white and red for a time-honoured, knighthood-inspired appearance. The hand-painted artwork features a subtle texture that resembles brushed linen or coarse canvas, giving it a comfortable, well-worn look right out of the box.

Yet another nice feature of this shield is its adjustable design. Back at the ranch, you have a clever cross-strap handle system built from rugged leather, allowing you to wear it on either your left arm or right arm with equal ease. Whether you're naturally left-handed, playing as a dominant-weapon character, or just prefer being able to switch during the game, this grip setup is the way to go. It's not something giant, but one that opens up the shield to many more players and play styles.

Its curving shape is crafted from rugged EVA foam, hand-painted to resemble weathered wood, and reinforced with stitched-on leather for added durability and historical accuracy. It provides a shield that is both light enough for high-speed LARP combat and dense enough to resemble actual medieval armour. The curve also provides excellent wrap-around protection, especially when bracing or fighting in groups.

This is a great choice for anyone who wants to look medieval without going too far. This would make a great town militia kit, a knight's gear, or even part of a mercenary company's insignia. Paint your sigil onto the colour split, or leave it as is, either way, it will not be seen as odd on the battlefield.
