Rogue Shift - Black

Epic Armoury's Rogue Shift is one of those costumes which can really work anywhere. It is very simple, comfortable to wear, and provides a great base for everything from a distressed pirate LARP costume to layered formal dress.

Made of 100% crêpe cotton, this dress is light and airy as well as having a crinkle textured finish. That crinkly look isn't just for show - it is also meant to make the shift comfortably cool, and breezy while in motion. Whether you're doing an entire day at a LARPing convention, wandering around at Fantasy Forest, or simply need something practical for hot weather, this gown will not be a hassle to wear. Its softness and loose drape guarantee it improves the more you wear it.

The pattern itself is straightforward but versatile. A piece of laced ties along the centre, paired with ties on the sides, lets you adjust the fit. Draw it in for a tighter silhouette, or even let it out so that the shift can flow around you as a loose top layer. The sleeves are gathered slightly at the wrist creating a gentle shape to balance the proportions of the dress.

One of the best things about the Rogue Shift is how easy it is to switch up the style. Add a belt and a sash and some layers, and you have a basic pirate costume. Put a coat, dress or jerkin over the top, and you have a base layer towards a higher-class period look. Leave it plain, and it works as fantasy peasant clothing.

MAINTENANCE

As a heavy-duty fabric, this product is heavier than simple cotton. This material wrinkles easily but can be ironed.

Machine wash at 30°C / 86°F. This product will leak dye. Please make sure to wash once before use in order to make sure that remaining dye will be removed from the product. We advise washing alone, using colour-catching sheets or only washing with similar coloured clothes to reduce the risk of dye imprint.
