Because it is molded rather than forged, the weight drops dramatically, making it ideal for long event days, junior fighters, and performers who want the steel look without the strain. It fastens with full grain leather tabs at the shoulder and laces along the lower edge for an adjustable fit, and it pairs with the rest of the Captain range, including the Captain Cuirass, Captain Pauldrons, Captain Belt Shields, Captain Arm Protection, and Captain Leg Protection.
The strap system handles most sizing on its own, but for a closer fit, you can gently reshape the material itself using heat. Apply heat to the inside of the piece rather than the painted exterior, so the material becomes flexible without damaging the finish.
Finish: The base material underneath the painted surface is black, so over time, scratches and general wear may reveal this black colour underneath.
Easy touch-ups: Minor cosmetic damage, such as scuffs or scratches can be simply repaired at home using a primer and acrylic hobby paints (such as Army Painter or Citadel).
Leather care: The leather straps should be maintained like any other full-grain leather product, with occasional conditioning to keep them supple and long-lasting.
A living finish: Wear and patina are a natural part of your armour's lifecycle and can be expected with regular use, adding to the authentic, battle-worn character of the piece.
