Larp Inn is a small family business that was founded in 2009. We operate from a central warehouse in Telford, just off the M54. From this workshop, we make and ship all shapes and sizes of LARP kit to the UK and internationally, but we also have a small showroom and a gaming space.

Our Origin Story

Back at the very start, operations began in a tiny cupboard. Jamie started selling fantasy jewellery and prosthetics, which would take up a few shelves of space. His day job involved website development and graphic design, all of which he turned towards Larp Inn during his spare time. As things became more successful, he started sourcing more and more LARP goods from reliable manufacturers all across mainland Europe.

By 2010 Jamie had brought a shed – it wasn’t a small shed. At first the 8ft x 8ft seemed massive, and it took a while to acquire enough weapons to fill the single, lonely weapon rack. In a year, the shelves were overflowing, the draws wouldn’t shut and deliveries sometimes had to be processed outside because there was so much stock.

Unbelievably, Jamie struggled away with the limited space until 2014. Shortly after his first outdoor Trade Event, Jamie realised that we could no longer cope as a backyard business. The display tables, tents and clothing rails alone could fill a 8ft x 8ft shed.

Desperate for more space, Larp Inn moved into an old jewellery shop with a small back room. The new premises offered space to open Larp Inn's first Showroom and, with the crafting benches in the back, Jamie began producing a limited number of Larp Inn leather products. As the homemade range of products expanded, so did the companies need for a larger workshop.

In 2015 Jamie moved the business into a warehouse; the Larp Inn Showroom didn’t change much from the first iteration, and he constructed a separate room in which to surround the shop. Initially, this left tonnes of ground space in the warehouse, and Jamie set about acquiring all the equipment he had dreamed about in order to further his own line of products. With a station for sewing, leather work, packing orders, latexing weapons, storing stock, storing camping equipment and an office, the empty spaces slowly filled up.

In 2017, organisation-enthusiast Harrie joined the Larp Inn team full-time and the business was forced to expand once more. Just a few doors down, the new warehouse was twice the size, with a mesanine which we converted in a gaming space and three rooms - an office, a leather working room and crafting space. That is where we still operate today, making a huge percentage of our stock, as well as still selling reliable goods from EU and UK sellers.
